For a healthy lifestyle they offer mental health, sleep, stress management, and quitting smoking aids. For fitness they offer fitness basics, getting active, staying motivated, and walking.

 

Overview

Before the American Heart Association, people with heart disease were thought to be destined to die. A group of physicians and social workers didn’t accept that. Instead, they performed studies studies to learn more about the number one killer in America. On June 10, 1924, the American Heart Association was formed under the belief that research and treatment could lead to a cure.  

Get Involved

To assist in the fight of the American Heart Association, the website includes links on how to volunteer, ways to give, and advocacy on a federal, state and media level. Some of their popular contribution drives include ‘Research Goes Red’, ‘Best Friend Fridays’ ‘Little Hats, Big Hearts’, and ‘SHOP Heart’.
