Heart attacks happen when you have an acute blockage of your arteries supplying the heart with the oxygen and nutrients it has. Aspirin is very important therapy for a heart attack because we say aspirin is a clot buster, so aspirin is able to break open that clot as it forms acutely in a heart attack and allow for reperfusion. So it's a life-saving therapy for heart attacks.
